There is a small potentiometer on board to adjust the module’s sensitivity. It’s range can be adjusted from 2cm to 60 cm (depending on the reflectiveness of the obstacles), you can feed him 3-5V and the output pin will trigger when it will detect obstacles.

A line sensor is composed of a number of cells and each cell is composed of a sender and a receiver. This is a self-locking single channel relay module with a two button (ON/OFF) infrared remote controller to switch the status of the relay output. You’ll be able to remotely control any device up to a distance of 8m with the contact of the relay able to drive a load capacity of up to 250VAC-10A and 30VDC-10A. Its high current tolerance allows it to control a variety of household appliances and equipment. The board also features an LED serving as visual feedback of the relay switch status and a M3 mounting hole if needed. It is very easy to setup and connect. There are two input power pins which you must supply 12VDC in labeled as VIN and GND. Once powered, you can connect your device to the three output pins (the middle one being the common, look at silkscreen of PCB to identify NO and NC pins). You can then use your remote controller to switch the relay status between NO (normally open) by pressing ON and NC (normally closed) by pressing OFF.

SENS-TCRT5000 TCRT5000 Infrared obstacle detection proximity sensor module

The following module makes use of TCRT5000 infrared proximity sensors (emitter and receiver) and can be easily implemented in any of your Arduino projects. There are a max of 4 pins, two of which are the VCC and GND pins, the other two being an Analog output and a Digital output. Once you have the module powered, be advised to place it so that the infrared LEDs are facing the direction you want to detect from. There is even a mounting hole on the PCB if needed. As for the outputs, this module provides you with both analog and digital options. The digital pin will have a value of 0 or 1 indicating whether or not an object is detected (or whether light is being reflected or not, this is useful when detecting black and white lines). The analog output will provide data relating to the distance of the object detected. There is even a potentiometer to allow sensitivity adjustments (Note that this a proximity sensor, in this case, meaning max operating range does not exceed 25mm).
