Infrared Obstacle Avoidance Sensor Module
It is an obstacle avoidance sensor that is simple to interface with Arduino microcontrollers. It has four pins and only requires three to be connected to any 5V compliant microcontrollers. Holding the board with the pins towards you, the right most pin is labelled GND for ground. Next to the ground pin on the left is +5V pin and the next left pin goes into any digital port. The example code in attachments uses pin 2. The final last left pin is not used and is labelled EN for enable. The Infrared sensor will emit an IR wavelength from the LED, when an object is nearby the reflection will cause the receiver to pick up the wavelength and return a digital value. Perfect for any proximity limit switches that have no physical moving parts. It also has two trim pots on the top for adjusting the sensitivity.
