This kit comes with 10 different types of surface mount pushbuttons that are normally open. All the switches are designed to be SPST, single pull and single throw. Some switches will have four pads for stability or due to the package style that it comes in by default. The four pads means you can connect diagonally the wires or horizontally to along the same side. You cannot connect vertically as the signal will simply pass through regardless of the status the push button is in. We highly recommend using a multimeter and continuity function to check and observe how it works. These SMD/SMT pushbuttons are commonly found in remote starters, Arduino microcontroller boards or any other type of small electronics that requires a pushbutton.
