Realtek RTL8710 is a Wi-Fi Module that is great for Internet of Things projects. This IC that is surface mounted on the microcontroller is based on an ARM Cortex-M3 Processor 166MHz. The processor has a 1MB ROM, 512KB RAM and a build in 1MB Flash memory with faster wireless performance compared to the ESP8266. This module uses the FreeRTOS as the go-to operating system and be programmed thanks to the CH340 IC with a Micro USB port. You have access to 17 GPIOs, 3 I2C, 2 PCM, 4 PWM and two high speed and one low speed UART. This board can be programmed with Arduino bootloader and offers wireless connectivity at b/g and n signals.

This plain looking board allows users to connect ESP-01 Wi-Fi module to a FTDI chip or breadboard and program with 3.3 or 5vdc logic levels. This board has a ASM1117 IC that allows you to using the FTDI chip at any logic level making it easy for you to power the system and not worry about frying the ESP chip. The ESP8266 is popular and can be found in Sonoff wireless relays or server and can even act like an Arduino with the correct board manager and Arduino code. This adapter board helps to achieve all these functions and not worry about 3.3v logic level signals.

The Bluefruit LE SPI Friend makes it easy to add Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity to anything with 4 or 5 GPIO pins. With SPI, you don't have to worry about baud rates, flow control, or giving up a hardware UART port. Connect to your Arduino or other microcontroller using the common four-pin SPI interface (MISO, MOSI, SCK and CS) plus a 5th GPIO pin for interrupts (to let the Arduino know when data or a response is ready).

This is the LoRa 9x @ 900 MHz radio version, which can be used for either 868MHz or 915MHz transmission/reception - the exact radio frequency is determined when you load the software since it can be tuned around dynamically. These are +20dBm LoRa packet radios that have a special radio modulation that is not compatible with the RFM69s but can go much much farther. They can easily go 2 Km line of sight using simple wire antennas, or up to 20Km with directional antennas and settings tweakings.

Sending data over long distances is like magic, and now you can be a magician with this range of powerful and easy-to-use radio modules. Sure, sometimes you want to talk to a computer (a good time to use WiFi) or perhaps communicate with a Phone (choose Bluetooth Low Energy!) but what if you want to send data very far? Most WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and other wireless chipsets use 2.4GHz, which is great for high speed transfers.
