There are three ways of identifying the polarity of an LED. The first method is look at the cap, the cut end is noted as negative or cathode. The second method is the Leads, the longest pin is considered the positive or anode. The third method is looking inside the cap to find the biggest trace, that is considered the cathode or negative end. Manufacturing mistakes happen from time to time, the LEDs are 5mm in RED and have the first method; cut off on the wrong end. Other than that this unit functions perfectly fine!
