The EMECO Transistor Voltage Withstand Tester is a tool for testing the breakdown voltage of various electronic components such as MOSFET, IGBT, Transistor, Diode, Electrolytic Capacitors, LED, MOV, SCR, Rectifier Bridge & TRIAC.

Designed to evaluate the breakdown voltage of electronic components. Using a 3.7V lithium battery that is stepped up to 2700VDC, this tester provides constant voltage and current outputs. With its advanced features and user-friendly interface, you can quickly assess the reverse breakdown voltage or forward voltage of semiconductors, diodes, MOSFETs, IGBTs, and other electronic components. This tester helps determine whether a component’s reverse breakdown voltage meets its specified data, ensuring component quality. Unlike multimeters, which often struggle to test certain components like IGBT/MOS tubes or transistors, the EMECO tester excels in this task. It also easily identifies defective LED beads by testing LED backlight boards.

Tester Dashboard & Controls:

  • LED Digital Tube Display: Shows the output voltage or reverse breakdown voltage of the tested component.
  • 3mm Indicator Light: Indicates output is active.
  • Charging Indicator: Red LED lights up during charging and turns off when fully charged.
  • Left Adjustment Button: Adjusts the output voltage (120-2700V).
  • Right Adjustment Button: Adjusts output current (0.2-3.8mA).
  • High Power Start Button: Press to activate high voltage output.
  • Power Switch: Turns the tester on or off.
  • TYPE-C Charging Port: Convenient charging using a smartphone charger.

Usage Instructions:

  1. Powering On: Switch on the tester and the 8888 LED display will show “0000” to indicate the device is powered on.
  2. Setting Output Voltage: Press the high voltage start button. Adjust the voltage using the left button to the desired setting (e.g., 1500V for testing a 1N4007 diode).
  3. Setting Output Current: For MOSFETs, IGBTs, and transistors, set the current to 0.2mA. For testing LEDs or electrolytic capacitors, set it to 3.8mA.
  4. Testing Components: Use the red and black clips to attach to the component being tested. The voltage displayed on the LED screen will indicate if the component is functioning within the expected voltage range.

Component Testing:

  • Basic Testing: Diodes, LEDs, Zener diodes, Electrolytic capacitors, Triac, Thyristors, and more can be easily tested using the red and black clips from the included clip leads.
  • Advanced Testing: For components such as N-MOS, P-MOS, IGBT, and MB6F, use the three alligator clips included for more precise testing results.

Safety & Caution:

  1. Capacitor Testing: Do not use the tester for high-voltage electrolytic capacitors like 450V/220uF. It’s suitable for low voltage capacitors like 2200uF/35V.
  2. Low Battery Warning: If the voltage reads “0000,” the battery may be under 3.2V and needs charging.
  3. Current Adjustment for Accuracy: When testing LEDs or electrolytic capacitors, adjust the current to the maximum value. You can subtract 0.5V from the displayed reading to ensure accuracy.
