The PH0403A Bimetallic Strip Apparatus demonstrates the behavior of a bimetallic strip when heat is applied.
This unit consists of a bimetallic strip on a 130mm x 80mm x 30mm base. A 12V halogen bulb is mounted right below a metallic strip. The bimetallic strip is heated by the glow of the bulb, which then bends, the circuit breaks and the bulb goes off. Once the bulb cools, the circuit becomes complete, the bulb glows and the sequence is repeated. Sockets are safety sockets.
