The 1x30A Motor Commander simplifies motor control with a single knob for adjusting the speed and direction of your brushed DC motor. Precision dial control is ideal for a variety of projects, from timelapses with pan or slider assemblies to rotating objects for welding or airbrushing at precise speeds.
Bidirectional Function: Turn the dial left or right to rotate the motor clockwise or counterclockwise, with proportional speed based on dial position. Three directional status LEDs indicate the motor’s current direction.
Motor control is safe thanks to temperature, current, and reverse-voltage protections. The aluminum heatsink can double as a mounting base using the 32mm x 40mm hex-counterbored thru-holes, allowing secure attachment with M4 hardware.
In FTC?
While not allowed in FTC competitions, the Motor Commander is perfect for pre-code prototyping. Its simple, plug-and-play design lets you test mechanisms without a fully wired robot.
Output Enable Safety Feature:
If the dial is not centered when power is applied, the center LED flashes blue and the motor receives no power. Move the dial to center to enable output. A tactile detent and triple-chirp tone confirm the motor is ready.
Power Input:
Supply 6–14V to the XT30 connector. The motor will receive this voltage through the Commander’s 3.5mm connectors labeled “A” and “B.”
Output:
The single channel can handle up to 30A continuous current, suitable for powering one motor or multiple motors via a harness.
