A photocell changes (also called a LDR, photodetector, photoresistor, CDS or photoconductive cell) resistance depending on the amount of light it is exposed to.
Features:
- Light resistance : ~1k Ohm
 - Dark resistance : ~10k Ohm
 - Max voltage : 150V
 - Max power: 100mW

These photocells can be used in many applications:
- Auto-focus lenses
 - Exposure meters
 - Contrast controls for TVs
 - Dimmer or light switches
 - Flame detectors
 - Electronic toys
 - Street lamp switches
 - Optocouplers
