LED-STRIP-09 Cool White LED Strip – 5M, 300 LED, Non-Waterproof

These LED strips are ultra bright, fun and glowy. There are 60 cool white LEDs per meter, and you can control the entire strip at once with any microcontroller and a power transistor. The way they are wired, you will need a 9-12VDC power supply and connect directly. If you want to dim the strip, use any NPN or N-channel MOSFET (although the big powerful kind is good for a large strip) and PWM the input.

This strip is non-waterproof with a white background color. There's an adhesive strip on the back which should stick to most smooth surfaces. Great for architectural lighting (under-counter or under-cabinet), decorating your bicycle or car, making lamps, etc. You'll need a lot of power to light these up, we suggest a 12V 2A supply. To connect it to a power supply, pick up a 2.1mm female jack and wire it to the strip with some heat shrink. For portable use, we suggest a 8xAA battery holder.

You can cut this stuff pretty easily with wire cutters, there are cut-lines every 5cm (3 LEDs each). Solder to the 0.1" copper pads and you're good to go.

These strips are sold by the 5 meter.

  • 8mm (0.20") wide, 3mm (0.12") thick, 50mm (2") long per segment
  • Non-waterproof IP44
  • Adhesive strip on back
  • Maximum 12V @ 60mA draw per strip segment
  • Max 1.8 Amps per meter (allLEDs lit full brightness)
  • 3 cool white LEDs per segment, 20 segments per meter, 300 LEDs total
  • LED color temp: 10,000K+
  • No microcontroller or chip controller ('analog' only!)

The strip can be cut along the cutting marks without damaging the rest of the strip. You can cut them into segments of different lengths. Can be bent to meet your requirements. Great for DIY lighting projects.

The package only includes the LED strip. Power Supply and connectors are not included.

Connection is easy. The LED strip comes with two bare wires already attached to it. Connect the bare wires to the 368-ADA (not included) screw terminal, which in turn connects to our DC-1203-2.1 (12V power supply not included). See the connection diagram below.

If you need a dimmer, you can use our LED-STRIP-DIM1 (not included). See the connection diagram below.

Of course, you can use your own power supply (make sure it's 12V and at least 2 amps), or dimmer.
