The Microbot model MR400-002 16x2 Character LCD Blue LED Backlight
This is a basic 16 character by 2 line display. White text on Blue background. Utilizes the extremely common SPLC780D parallel interface chipset.
An LED backlight enables optimal viewing in all lighting conditions.
Characteristics

- Connection port is 0.1" pitch, single row for easy breadboarding and wiring
- Pins are documented on the back of the LCD to assist in wiring it up
- Single LED backlight included can be dimmed easily with a resistor or PWM

- Up to 8 extra characters can be created for custom characters or 'foreign' language support
