This is a latching sub-miniature square pushbutton switch.
Push buttons are normally open tactile switches. They allow us to make connections which in turn can power a circuit, send any signal to intended pin(s) of a microcontroller or even to trigger relays. This is a self locking (latching) switch so it will remain closed after you make connections and connection will only break after you push the button again to break off the connection. It is one of the most common electronic components we used in our daily life.
