Adjustable Roller Based Switch

This switch is a type of switch depending on the configuration work as a Normally Open circuit or Normally Closed type of switch. This unit features a wheel that can be placed mechanically depending on your usage to trip when moving along an axis to a full 90 degree

This device has face lid to protect the connections, an adjustable leveller for the wheel to fix the depth and a nice rubber strain relief to protect the wiring entering the unit.

To wire the unit, simply unfasten the Philips screw located near the wheel and push to the extremity. Then proceed to remove the three Philips screws located onto the blue faceplate. Pull apart the face plate from the unit and wire the cable to the following suggesting configurations for the desired effects.

Normally Closed:

The two screws located near the strain relief labelled 1 and 2 are normally closed and connected to each other, when the roller hits an object and pivots to a minimum of 15 degrees the circuit will be open and current will not flow through.

Normally Open:

The two screws located near the wheel labelled 3 and 4 are normally open and are disconnected when the wheel is in the center. When the roller hits an object 3 & 4 will connect to each other creating a closed circuit where current will flow through.

The switch can pivot to a maximum of 90 degrees by both sides, either clockwise or counter clockwise. However the switch will only activate at 15 degrees pivot and remain in position for anything greater than 15 degrees.
