One Channel Relay Module for 5VDC Microcontrollers with optocoupler
This handy 1-channel relay interface board can be controlled directly by a wide range of microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, AVR, PIC, ARM, PLC and etc.
Holding the relay module with the pins toward you, the left most pin is labelled VCC for 5VDC power, middle and last right pin are for digital singal input and ground respectively. To activate or de-activate the relay you are required to constantly send either a high or low digital signal to toggle and maintain the state. Click on attachment tab for Arduino example code.
Note:
This product is has an optocoupler for isolating the power rails from noise and spikes, which is caused by switching high energy inductive loads. It will also reduce the chance of accidently reseting the microcontroller that is connected to this device by isolating the signal from the external power source.
This board is a bit larger in dimensions compared to the AM-133 for the additional ciruitry that is required.
