The 71-4015 is a microphone holder with a 3/8" female to 5/8" male connector.
The 5/8” -27 size is one and 3/8”-17 is the other. If you have a mike holder of one size and a stand with the other, you’ll need an adaptor to use them together. One of these small adaptors will solve the problem; road groups should carry a few of each.
