This nifty little Hall Magnetic Induction Sensor DIY Learning Kit will detect the North and South Pole once soldered.

The instructions are sparse but it can be soldered by anyone with medium skills.

Module function: South and North poles distinguish, the South Pole is close to the bright blue light, and the North Pole is close to the bright red light.
Maximum output load current: 25MA
Operating temperature range: -40 to 80 degrees Celsius.
Detection distance: visually within 7MM, strong magnetic can reach 1.5CM.

Interface definition:

VCC: Positive power supply
GND: Negative power supply
OUT: output signal

The south pole of the magnet is detected, the blue indicator light is on, and the pin S is outputted low level;

The north pole of the magnet is detected, the red indicator light is on, and the pin N is output low level;

When there is no magnet, the blue and red indicators are off, and the pins S and N are both output high.
