This Stemma QT breakout makes all that frustration go away - solder in any 'standard' PEC11-pinout rotary encoder with or without a push-switch. The onboard microcontroller is programmed with our seesaw firmware and will track all pulses and pins for you and then save the incremental value for querying at any time over I2C. Plug it in with a Stemma QT cable for instant rotary goodness, with any kind of microcontroller from an Arduino UNO up to a Raspberry Pi.

This chip has twice the flash, and four times the SRAM of its earlier sibling, the nRF52832 - 1 MB of FLASH and 256KB of SRAM. Compared to the nRF51, this board has 4-8 times more of everything. For this chip, we've added Arduino IDE support - you can program the nRF52840 chip directly to take full advantage of the Cortex-M4 processor, and then calling into the Nordic SoftDevice radio stack when you need to communicate over BLE. Since the underlying API and peripherals are the same for the '832 and '840, you can supercharge your older nRF52832 projects with the same exact code, with a single recompile!

Get a CLUE here at Adafruit by picking up this sensor-packed development board. We wanted to build some projects that have a small screen and a lot of sensors. To make it compatible with existing projects, we made it the same shape and size as the BBC micro:bit and with the same edge-connector on the bottom with 5 big pads so it will fit into your existing robot kit or 'bit add-on.

Unlike the 'classic' Raspberry Pi computers, you can't really stick a HAT, bonnet, pHAT or other accessory/add-on on top...what to do? Give up!? NO! Use this cable, which will act as an extender for all 40 pins to give you a stretch of about 150mm / 6 inches. Simply plug the socket side into the Raspberry Pi with the white mark next to the Pin 1 label. Then on the other side, plug the hat down onto the plug side.

Give yourself a lift with this 2x20 female socket header that has slightly longer than usual pins. You can plug this into your Raspberry Pi GPIO port and then plug a HAT or Bonnet or Phat on top. Especially useful for Bonnets that have slim headers on the bottom, but you want them to clear some of the components on the Pi, or fit into a case nicer.
