OMEGA2+ Onion Omega 2 Plus
It’s here! It’s here!! The Onion Omega 2 Plus from Onion Corp. Now upgraded with a number two and a plus sign on it to show it means business!
So what does this thing do? Basically it is a Raspberry Pi without the HDMI and USB ports. It has been shrunken down to about the size of a standard SD card. It does not run on 5v and runs a 580Mhz Processor with 128MB of memory.
It is entirely wireless but has a MicroSD card port on the back for expanded storage space. Since the price is so low, you can purchase an expansion board for additional Ethernet connectivity, power by USB, insert OLED screens, GPS module, Bluetooth 4.0 LE module, and run on a 2G/3G platform. You can make it work like an Arduino or plug into a breadboard with the adapter. The possibilities are endless!
It is based on the popular OpenWRT Linux Operating System. You have access to the terminal and everything else you love about Linux. This device is designed to be an Internet of Things (IOT) module, so you can access the terminal via your browser or an app on your phone!
This is a great computer for all IOT Sensors and Slave Controllers for connecting and responding. All you need is one app that connect everything to the Omega!
