Laser beam systems are widely used in security, safety and manufacturing. It is based on a transmitter/receiver pair. The laser beam is transmitted towards the receiver lens in order to switch the output ON/OFF. The switched output polarity depends on the transistor type used in the sensor (i.e. NPN or PNP) as well as how it is wired (i.e. Normally-Open or Normally-Closed)
