E18-D80NK IR Photoelectric Proximity Sensor (3-80cm)
This is an easy to connect photoelectric sensor for your robotic needs. It can detect objects as far as 80cm away and only needs 5V to be powered. Since the output is just a simple logic level signal (High, no object detected, or Low, object detected), the sensor can also easily interface with most microcontroller boards. It comes with two threaded screw nuts which you can use to mount the sensor through a panel hole.
This three-wire sensor is very easy to connect as well. The blue wire being GND, the brown wire being VCC (+5VDC) and the black wire being the OUTPUT.
ATTENTION!!! DUE TO UNCONVENTIONAL COLOR CODING, NOTE THAT BLACK WIRE IS NOT GROUND
