LilyPad Arduino with USB based on ATMEGA32U4

This LilyPad development board makes use of the Arduino ATmega32U4 chip and is great for any and all e-textile projects. This design in particular is an updated and more modern version of the LilyPad simple. It has all the features you can except from your traditional Simple (which include a JST connector for your lipo battery holders that can also charge your batteries and a power slide switch to turn off or on the board at your discretion) and more. This time around you won’t need to interface using FTDI anymore because the IC on-board has integrated USB support. Simply connect your system using a micro-USB cable and you’ll be ready to program using ARDUINO IDE software, which now supports LilyPad USB. The board itself includes only a few of the pin outs you can expect from an Arduino ATmega32U4 system (A2 to A5, pin 2-3, pin 9-11, + and - , look at pinout). All you need is a 2.7V to 5V supply to power it. It even comes with a reset switch on the board. The minimalist and low-profile design of the LilyPad 32U4 makes it a perfect choice for projects looking to embed a microcontroller board onto textile surfaces. The large pin-out pads simplify the task of making connections using conductive thread.
