MAX471 3A Current Range Sensor Module

The following module allows you to measure the current of a circuit by outputting an analog value you can then send to a microcontroller board (Arduino). Connect your inputs appropriately and for every amp measured, the board will output a volt (ratio is 1V/A, max of 3 A). To get the module working, you must first connect the RS+ pin to your positive supply line, your RS- to your loads positive end and GND to a common ground plain (as if you were connecting an ammeter). Now for the output terminals, simply connect the pin labeled OUT to any analog pin on your microcontroller and the GND pin to your microcontrollers ground.

We’ve also provided you with a tutorial that includes some Arduino code and a simple circuit for help. You can find the MAX471 datasheet under the attachment tab.
