SENS-BH1750 Digital Light Intensity Sensor Break Out Board for Arduino Microcontrollers

This little board has a BH1750FVI pre-surface mounted with all the necessary component to get it up and running. You only need to solder the five pin header to the board! After soldering the chip will detect a light source intensity and relay back the information using I2C protocol. You also have address to add multiple devices to the I2C line. This device will run at 5v or 3.3v as it has the required resistors to bring down the voltage. We have an Arduino example code and library attached above in attachments if you want to verify If the board is working or to grasp a better idea of how it works!

Arduino Library & Code:

https://github.com/Genotronex/BH1750FVI_Master

*Note: After downloading, extract the folder into my documents > Arduino > Libraries

When you are at that location and open the extracted BH1750FVI folder ensure you see the LCD, LED and serial folder!

Open the Arduino ide, if it was open before adding this library please close and reopen it.

Go to examples and on the bottom select BH1750FVI > LED code

When you press compile you will notice it will offer a compile error message modify that line by adding ; to the end.

  Wiring: Vcc >> 5v or 3.3v,  GND >> GND, SDA >> A4, SCL >> A5, ADDR >> A3

For this test code please add a 100ohm – 220 ohm resistor on pin 9 and an led.
