This is a plastic encoder designed to fit on our magician chassis motors or any of the products shown below in related products! This is basically a plastic circle that has 20 slits for light to pass through, the encoder works like any other incremental encoder. The incremental encoder consists of a photocell arrangement as a coded disk with evenly spaced dark and transparent segments on its surface. The disk rotates or moves past the light source generating a stream of square wave pulses that determine the angular position of the shaft.
